Job Description

QUALIFICATION:
Successfully completed bachelor's or master's degree in “Sports Science” at universities - supplementary training in training therapy is also possible, offered, e. g. in the form of university courses.

Theoretical training – key curriculum topics:
Anatomy / Physiology / Movement Theory / Exercise Theory / Pathology / Exercise Therapies

Practical training – totaling at least 325 hours are required
Treatment of patients with conditions such as internal diseases, disorders of the musculoskeletal system, or patients from the fields of neurology or psychiatry. 
Proof of Qualification (accreditation) is required from the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Affairs
Registration in the “Training Therapy List” and general accreditation as “Training Therapist” 

  • This profession can only be practiced after completing the legally prescribed training
  • Professional activities are based on the legally prescribed training content
  • Registration in the “Register of Sport Scientists authorized to practice Training Therapy” is mandatory  
     

Completed training/degree in Physiotherapy / Occupational Therapy / Sports/Exercise Therapy / Health or Training Sciences or comparable qualification 

ACTIVITIES:
* Planning, implementation, and evaluation of training-related therapies to promote motor, cognitive, or functional skills according to the client's needs
* Development of individual training plans in consultation with the therapy team
* Application of evidence-based training methods (e.g., cognitive rehabilitation, neuropsychology, movement/sensory training, resilience training)
* Documentation of findings, treatment goals, progress, and adjustment needs
* Collaboration with physicians, therapists, nurses, and external partners
* Advice and training of patients, relatives, and caregivers on therapies and daily living
* Participation in the development and implementation of rehabilitation concepts
* Ensuring hygiene, safety, and data protection standards
* Participation in regular team meetings, continuing education, and quality assurance
