Job Description

QUALIFICATION:
Successfully completed studies in Human Medicine -> 9-month basic training (rotation) -> specialization basic training as well as specialization focus training in the chosen specialization (duration between 63 and 72 months without studies - depending on the specialization) -> graduation with specialist examination at the Austria Medical Chamber  

Licensed Physician - Specialist Certification in “Internal Medicine & Pneumology” 

ACTIVITIES:
* Holistic medical care for patients with internal and pulmonary diseases
* Diagnosis, treatment, and long-term therapy in the areas of general internal medicine and pulmonology
* Specialized examinations: Pulmonary function testing, provocation tests, imaging (X-ray, CT), bronchoscopies
* Treatment of acute and chronic respiratory diseases, COPD, asthma, lung cancer (possibly interdisciplinary with oncology), interstitial lung diseases
* Participation in quality management, evidence-based treatment guidelines, and continuing education
* Collaboration within an interdisciplinary team (cardiology, radiology, gastrointestinal and visceral surgery, oncology, intensive care)
* Documentation, billing, and clinical certifications
