Job Description

QUALIFICATION:
Successfully completed studies in Human Medicine -> 9-month basic training (rotation) -> specialization basic training as well as specialization focus training in the chosen specialization (duration between 63 and 72 months without studies - depending on the specialization) -> graduation with specialist examination at the Austria Medical Chamber  

Licensed Physician - Specialist Certification in “Clinical Pathology & Neuropathology” 

ACTIVITIES: 
* Diagnostic evaluation of preparative and patient-related samples (hematopathology, cytology, histology) with a focus on clinical-pathological correlation
* Neuropathic diagnostics including detailed reporting of spinal cord, brain, and peripheral nerve tissue findings
* Participation in intraoperative frozen section examinations and post-mortem examinations
* Participation in tumour- and autopsy-based reporting, quality and process optimization
* Cooperation with clinical departments, immunohistochemistry, molecular diagnostics, radiology, and the medical biobank
* Communication of findings, interdisciplinary case discussions, and documentation
* Support with research projects, publications, and quality assurance measures
