QUALIFICATION:

Education: 3 years at technical colleges or 5 years at higher technical institutions in the fields of “Electronics & Computer Engineering” or “Information Technology”
Key curriculum topics: 
Software & Hardware Development / Communication Systems & Networks / Digital Systems & Computer Systems / Measurement Technology & Control Systems / Network & Media Technology
Further knowledge:
Construction of prototypes for electronic systems / PCB (Printed Circuit Board) Design / W-LAN Systems
Practical experience:
School-own workshops and laboratories as well as through multi-week mandatory internships in companies 

Completed training in IT / Electrical Engineering or Telecommunications (e.g. IT System Electronics Technician, Electronics Technician for Information Technology, Telecommunications Installer) or comparable qualification

ACTIVITIES:
* Installation, commissioning, testing and maintenance of telecom systems (systems, networks, lines, end devices)
* Troubleshooting, repair and documentation of errors on-site or in the support centre 
* Carrying out maintenance and service work according to specified processes
* Advising and supporting customer on-site, by phone, or remotely
* Preparation of service reports, fault and acceptance protocols
* Collaboration with engineering and network/infrastructure teams for troubleshooting
* Compliance with safety and quality standards (e.g., VDE, ISO, internal guidelines)
* Participation in projects to expand or modernize infrastructure
