QUALIFICATION:
Education: 3 years at technical schools in “Chemistry” or 5 years at higher technical institutions in “Environmental Technology” / “Recycling Technology” or “Chemistry”
Key curriculum topics:
Chemistry / Analytics & Microbiology / Process & Energy Technology / Environmental Technology / Environmental Analytics / Quality Management
Further advantageous qualifications:
“Mechanical Engineering & Technology” due to the gaining importance of waste management machines and systems 

Completed training in Environmental Engineering / Chemistry / Laboratory Technology / Waste Management / Recycling Management or comparable qualification – alternatively relevant professional experience in waste disposal

ACTIVITIES:
* Planning, organization and implementation of waste and packaging disposal in accordance with legal requirements
* Collection, storage, transport and disposal of waste (a wide range of waste materials, hazardous substances according to REACH/CLP, and recyclable materials)
* Monitoring of disposal processes, quality control, and documentation (AZAV/DIN/EMAS/ISO requirements depending on the company)
* Documentation of disposal records, reports, and waste streams
* Collaboration with Production, Logistics, Purchasing and external disposal service providers
* Optimization of waste prevention and recycling measures and cost savings
* Ensuring occupational safety, environmental protection regulations, and emergency/safety measures
