Job Description

QUALIFICATION:
Completed “Psychotherapy Training” including a general (“Psychotherapeutic Preparatory Course”) and a specialized component (“Psychotherapeutic Specialist Course”) 
Admission to the psychotherapeutic preparatory course is open to individuals with a school-leaving certificate from a general or vocational secondary school, a university entrance qualification, a degree in nursing or medical-technical services, and individuals who demonstrate individual suitability through a particularly motivated personality.
 

Admission to the psychotherapeutic specialist course is open to individuals with a degree, for example, from a university of education or a bachelor's degree in music therapy, training in a certified health and nursing service or advanced medical-technical service, a degree in medicine, education, philosophy, psychology, journalism and communication studies, or theology, or a degree for secondary school teaching.

  • This profession can only be practiced after completing the legally prescribed training
  • Professional activities are based on the legally prescribed training content
  • Registration in the “Register of Psychotherapists” is mandatory to practice this profession

Completed degree in Psychology (Diploma/Bachelor's/Master's) with licensure or state recognition as a Psychotherapist, or licensed Psychotherapist under national law - additional training may be required depending on the specialty.

ACTIVITIES: 
* Providing psychotherapy and behavioural therapy to promote mental health, reduce symptoms, and improve quality of life
* Using evidence-based therapeutic methods (e.g., behavioural therapy, depth psychology, systemic approaches, and, if necessary, specific therapy areas) according to client needs
* Development of individualized treatment plans, documenting findings, therapy goals, progress, and any changes that may be needed
* Conducting diagnostics, case conferences, and supervision in interdisciplinary teams
* Counselling and training patients, relatives, and, if necessary, schools or institutions
* Participation in the development and implementation of rehabilitation concepts and preventive measures
* Ensuring hygiene, safety, and data protection standards
* Participation in regular team meetings, continuing education programs, and quality assurance
