QUALIFICATION: 
Education: 3 years in technical schools or 5 years in higher technical institutions in "Mechanical Engineering" in combination with various focuses:
Environmental Technology / Vehicle Technology / System Technology / Mining Machinery Engineering / Automation Technology
Subjects: Construction & Project Management / Mechanics & Machine Elements / Manufacturing & Production Technology / Electrical Engineering & Automation Technology 
Further knowledge: CAD (Computer Aided Design) Technology / CNC (Computerized Numerical Control) Technology / Welding Technology 
Practical experience: School-owned workshops and laboratories as well as through multi-week mandatory internships in companies
Educational options:
1 - Metal Technician (with optional modules)  or Design Technician -> Apprenticeship
2 - Mechanical Engineer -> Studies at University / University of Applied Sciences 

Completed technical training in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable qualification (e.g., Technician)

ACTIVITIES:
* Assembly, installation, and commissioning of machines and systems on-site or in the factory
* Maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components
* Conducting assembly and acceptance tests, documentation of results
* Support in commissioning, validation, and optimization of systems
* Fault analysis, troubleshooting, and implementation of improvement measures
* Collaboration with Work Planning, Production, Quality Assurance and Customer Service 
* Preparation of technical reports, test documentation, and parts lists
* Compliance with safety-related specifications and quality standards
* Participation in the commissioning of new machines and their commissioning
