QUALIFICATION:

Education: 3 years at vocational schools in “Information Technology” or 5 years at higher technical institutions in “Computer Science”, “Electronics” or “Technical Computer Science”
Computer Science – key curriculum topics: Network Systems / Cyber Security / Software Engineering / Cloud Computing / System Planning / Project Management / Business Administration / Accounting 
Additional qualification: SAP or Cisco (school-dependent)
Practical experience: School-owned workshops as well as through multi-week mandatory internships in companies
Educational option:
Network Administrator -> Studies at University / University of Applied Sciences

Completed degree or comparable qualification in Computer Science / Information Technology / or Network Technology or relevant professional experience

ACTIVITIES:
* Planning, implementation and operation of corporate networks (LAN/WAN/Wireless, VPN, firewall, SD-WN)
* Configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless systems
* Implementation of security measures, segmentation, VPN access, and incident response support
* Participation in network access, architecture, and takeover projects; participating in migration and upgrades
* Creation of operational concepts, runbooks, documentation, and knowledge databases
* Executing change and capacity management as well as monitoring performance and availability
* Collaboration with IT teams, service providers, and external partners; technical guidance and support for colleagues
* Participation in on-call shifts as scheduled
