QUALIFICATION:

Education: 5 years at higher technical institutions in “Computer Science” or “Technical Computer Science”
Computer Science – key curriculum topics: Cyber Security / Network Technologies / Communication Technology / Database Administration / Cloud Computing / Project Management / Business Administration / Accounting 
Additional qualification: SAP or Cisco (school-dependent)
Practical experience: School-owned workshops as well as through multi-week mandatory internships in companies
Educational option:
Information Security Expert -> Studies at University / University of Applied Sciences

Completed Studies in Computer Science / IT Security / Mathematics or comparable qualification - Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, CCSP, OSCP) if applicable

ACTIVITIES:
* Development, implementation and maintenance of information security strategies, security architecture, and policies (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST)
* Conducting risk analyses, threat modelling, and security assessments of applications, cloud services, and infrastructures
* Stewardship of security incidents: detection, response, recovery, and root-cause analyses
* Planning and implementation of governance, risk, and compliance measures (including data protection, IT Security Act, GDPR)
* Collaboration with development teams, IT operations, cloud architecture, and internal audit to secure projects
* Conducting security audits, penetration tests, and security controls (SAST/DAST, IAM, network security, endpoint security)
* Further development of security optimization measures, key performance indicators (KPIs/OKRs), and stakeholder reporting
* Training and raising employee awareness on IT security, creating policies, instructions, and playbooks
